The Capital Area Pickleball Association (CAPA) recently held elections, and three new board members were elected to replace three directors whose terms were expiring this year. The new board members are:
- Kristina Amelong
- Jimmy E Cheffen Jr., and
- Weijun Cheng

They will serve two-year terms and will be replacing departing board members Mick Viney, Jill Jorstad, and Joanne Crapisi. Thank you to Mick, Jill, and Joanne for your many years of service! And congratulations to our new incoming board members!
Current CAPA Board President, Kevin McPherson, ran unopposed this year and was also reelected for another term.
Five additional members of the Board of Directors who were not up for election this year are:
- Shelley Reynolds (current Vice-President)
- Tony Greig (current Treasurer)
- Mark Blitz
- Jim Halberg
- Michael Wedge
These board members will be up for election in Fall 2026.
