This is a follow-up to a previous Pickleblog from July 21, 2026, about some new pickleball courts that were going to be opening soon at Lakeview Park in Middleton. The grand opening is finally upon us! It will take place at Lakeview Park Pickleball & Tennis Courts, located at 6300 Mendota Avenue in Middleton, WI, on August 24, 2026, from 5-6:30 pm. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a few words from Middleton Mayor Lisa Janairo, the Director of the Middleton Parks & Recreation Department, as well as a local Alder. After the ribbon cutting and speeches, there will be pickleball open play. Free snacks and beverages will be provided. Prizes will also be given away. So, whether you are an experienced player or just a beginner, feel free to come out and celebrate the official opening of the new pickleball courts at Lakeview Park on Monday, August 24!
