Last fall, the City of Fitchburg built four additional pickleball courts at McGaw Park. And new this spring, there are now overhead lights for all twelve pickleball courts, so that you can keep the fun going until 10 pm at night if you want! The lights are not able to be turned on yet, but they will be soon.
As a reminder, for the 2026 season, there will be open play at McGaw on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings from 8-11 am, and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-8 pm. In addition, Pickles and Beer happens every Friday from 4-9 pm. Courts 3-12 are available to rent in 1-hour time blocks when not scheduled for open play or another Recreation Department program. Court rentals are $10 for Fitchburg residents and $15 for non-residents. For more information, click here. Keep pickling!
